There are several issues causing your LG washer to leak from the bottom. A hose leakage is the most common cause of a water leak in modern machines. If the hoses are loose or damaged, you need to tighten them or replace them entirely. You can follow a simple instruction to eliminate the issue. Unplug the washing machine from the power outlet. Slide the washer out about 12 inches. Be careful to not damage the water hoses. Find the water hoses behind the washer. Find where the water hoses connect to the wall and the back of the washer. Hand tighten both water hoses connected to the water outlets on the wall (Hot and Cold). Hand tighten both water hoses connected to the washing machine (Hot and Cold). A leak from the detergent drawer isn’t less common. There is a high possibility your LG washer experiences it. Check the drawer for damage and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how to replace it. Check the water inlet valve. It may be faulty, loose, or clogged therefore causing a leak from back/bottom. If the water inlet valve is defective, replace it. Do not attempt to repair the water inlet valve—taking apart the valve makes it susceptible to failure. Appliance issues can be a pain in the neck, and washer leak repair is probably not on your list of favorite things to do, but patiently troubleshooting the problem can save you a lot of time and money in waiting for a professional repair service to come to your rescue.
