If you have been using a 2 Frigidaire dishwasher for a couple of years, one day you can notice that it started leaking. Mostly the bottom door seal is the problem. If food gets stuck or the seal gets worn out it may leak. When you close the dishwasher, it should stick to the door. If it does not stick, then there is a gap in the seal. If your dishwasher has any gaps or leaks in the seal, replace it. To replace the seal use following steps:
Fill a container or your sink with hot water. Soak the replacement seal in the water to soften it.
Open the Frigidaire dishwasher door to access the seal. Grab the seal along the bottom of the dishwasher door opening. Pull the original seal from the seal channel.
Remove the replacement seal from the hot water. Wipe the seal dry with a towel.
Look for the colored dot marked on one side of the seal near the center. Line up the dot on the seal with the center of the dishwasher door latch.
Turn the replacement seal so the dot faces the dishwasher opening. Use your fingers to push the seal into the channel. Install the seal along the top of the dishwasher before pushing it into the channels along the left and right sides of the dishwasher door opening.
Close and latch the dishwasher door. Leave the door closed for three to four hours to ensure the seal forms a watertight seal around the door opening.
