Fridge owners frequently mop leakage instead of investigating origins of the trouble. When you also suffer from a leaking freezer, read the information below very attentively. As you see, removing the ice intermittently is inconvenient - a permanent fix is necessary. Locate the drain hole. The drain hole is usually located at the back wall of the freezer on the panel. In some refrigerator/freezers a plastic panel covers the drain hole. Remove the screw(s) and the panel to access the drain hole. Once the drain hole is located, inspect the drain hole to see if there is any type of clog or if the tube is frozen and full of ice. If you find the drain to be clogged or frozen, you will need to get the drain tube cleared of ice or debris. There may be ice in the tube or it may be clogged with debris. You may need to remove the drain tube to fully remove any debris. Be sure the drain tube, drain hole, and all components downstream are clean and not blocked. Door’s seal also requires cleaning. Clean the freezer door's seal and the seal's mating surface around the freezer compartment with an all-purpose cleaner and a rag. Remove all mildew and debris. Then, it’s time to defrost the evaporator coil and the condensate pan, if needed, with a hair dryer. The condensate pan mounts in the freezer below the aluminum evaporator coil. Clean the debris from the condensate pan with a rag. Wipe from the pan's drain hole to the opposite side of the pan. Flush the condensate pan with warm water. Replace the evaporator cover, shelves and ice maker. Hope this short guide will help you to eliminate the issue. If not, your case may need additional maintenance.
