Error codes mean that something complicates the work of the unit or there is a defective or broken part. As a matter of fact, normal functioning isn’t possible anymore unless you eliminate the source of the error code. No need to ignore the codes, look up to the manual guidance and find a necessary definition. Error code H1 indicates that a freezer sensor shorted in freezer display. Check wiring between a thermistor and board. If correct, replace the thermistor. The thermistor monitors the refrigerator temperature and sends the temperature reading to the control board. The control board regulates power to the compressor and evaporator fan based on the thermistor readings. If the thermistor is defective, the compressor and evaporator fan may not run when necessary. As a result, the refrigerator will not be cold enough. To determine if the thermistor is defective, test it with a multimeter. The thermistor resistance should change in conjunction with the refrigerator temperature. If the thermistor resistance does not change, or the thermistor does not have continuity, replace the thermistor. Monitor the work of the appliance for a couple of days. If you see the code again, call a maintenance assistant and conduct a professional diagnostic.
