GE Range burners and oven don't light up anymore (FIXED)

Despite the fact that built-in electric ovens have been in great demand recently, gas stoves with ovens are still the most common in everyday life. Leading manufacturers of kitchen equipment whose products have proven themselves well in the domestic market, are constantly improving their ovens making them safer to use and more reliable in operation. But they still have "weak" spots, more often than others they are prone to breakdowns. Some malfunctions refer to minor defects that are not related to the gas supply to the burners, but can block their operation. Such breakdowns are easy to fix on your own. What to do if the oven of the gas stove does not work? Whether it's grease buildup or food crumbs, one of the most common causes for a gas burner that has trouble igniting is debris blocking gas flow to the igniter. Begin by removing the grate covering the troubled burner. Next, remove the burner cap, which should lift off with ease. The sealed burner base will either lift off or you may need to remove a couple screws before removing it. Clean the surrounding area with a warm, soapy washcloth. Soak the sealed burner base in vinegar or warm water and use a stiff brush to remove any debris. Finally, clean any remaining debris out of the burner holes with a toothpick, sewing needle or compressed air. Reinstall the burner, cover and the grill, and try igniting the burner once more. If this doesn't work, there could be a kink in the gas supply line or a larger issue, and you may want to consult a professional. When the electrodes move out of place, you have to remove your stovetop to adjust their placement. To modify the placement of the electrodes in your GE gas stove turn off all the burners. Allow the stove to cool for at least an hour. Separate the grate from the cooktop. Remove the burner caps and burner heads. You will see a white ceramic component. This piece is the electrode. Examine the electrode. Check if the metal part is sitting flush with the stove. Adjust the electrode. Use your thumb and index finger to twist clockwise until the electrode is inline with the cooktop. However, some of the complex replacements or repairs are always best left up to the professionals.
