How to repair a not freezing enough GE Monogram refrigerator?

Do you feel that your GE Monogram refrigerator is not freezing enough? You can check to have no doubts. Place a container with water on the middle shelf in the cold chamber. The temperature after cooling for several hours should be 4-5 degrees. It is measured with an ordinary water thermometer. All measurements should be performed after 5-6 hours. Do not open the door while measuring. In the freezer, the maximum temperature corresponds to the number of stars multiplied by 6. Frozen food can be stored for a month if the temperature is around -120 C. The reasons why the refrigerator does not freeze may be in the temperature and humidity of the surrounding air. On a hot day the temperature in the plus chamber will inevitably rise. The refrigerator will not pump cold if the room is cool. So, your refrigerator works stably in the range of 16-35 degrees indoors and humidity is less than 80%. The refrigerator should be located at a distance from heat-generating surfaces and with a gap of 5-7 cm from the walls of the cabinets. Make sure you dust off the condenser coils to prevent dust build up and overheating due to it overworking. To clean the condenser coils, unplug the appliance. Depending on the model of your fridge or freezer, the coils may be located on the back of the appliance or near the bottom at the front. For rear coils, move the appliance away from the wall until you are safely and comfortably able to access them. For front coils, unsnap the base grille that covers the coils. Give the coils a thorough cleaning using a refrigerator coil brush or a vacuum hose with a soft brush head. Replace the grille, reposition the appliance, and plug it back in. If your refrigerator door seal is broken, warm air is pushing its way inside the unit, thus causing it to not cool properly. Inspect the door seal for damage. If you notice any cracks or areas where cold air is leaking out, the seal will need to be replaced. Ensure that your thermostat is set correctly, usually 38-40 degrees Fahrenheit. When this fan is defective, cold air is prevented from flowing through the vents. It may require replacement. Check if there are clicking sounds coming from the compressor as it tries to start. If there is a clicking, it is one of only two options, either the start capacitor or a bad compressor. A start capacitor is fairly inexpensive whereas a sealed system repair on the compressor is very expensive and often not cost effective.
