There are many issues which happen to Samsung dryers. Some of them are minor and do not require a serious repair. Unfortunately, there are breakdowns that can’t be eliminated by anybody but a professional plumber. More likely a heating element is malfunctioning. The heating element is helping warming the air drum. When you cannot use it with care its components are overheating. When you want to determine the heating element heat use a multimeter for testing. If it’s not working, properly replace it. If you choose to go the DIY way to unplug and replace the heating element for the Samsung dryer, take the following steps. Unplug your Samsung dryer from the power source; also remove both the screws on the back of the dryer and the lid. Do the latter by sliding the lid off. Disconnect the control panel off by lifting upward and then remove the wire harness that holds the control panel to the dryer by removing the screws that secure the front panel. Keep the dryer door open and then remove the other remaining screws at the bottom of the door. Lower the locking tabs to remove the front panel. Disconnect the door switch wire, lift the panel off and then disconnect the moisture sensor wiring harness. Unscrew the heating element housing and remove housing from mounting bracket. Take away the screws holding mounting bracket to the bottom and then remove the mounting bracket. Pull the heating element housing out of the dryer, and then disconnect the wire harness from the heating element. Never detach the wire harnesses from the thermostat or high limit switch. Twist the tab upward and disconnect the heating element housing. Unbend the wire terminal locking tabs Remove the wire terminals and the heating element from the housing. Replace with a new one. Surely, you may delegate the routines to the professional dryer repair assistants and return your Samsung dryer to normal functioning.
