There are several reasons why your LG refrigerator leaks on the floor. As a rule water drips from the water inlet valve behind the panel. If the water filter head or housing becomes cracked, water can leak out and make its way onto your floor. Also check the water filter seal. If it's torn, cracked or missing, it won't be able to form a tight fit and keep water in the filter. If either of these parts is damaged, you'll need a replacement part or water will likely continue to leak onto your floor. A common reason for refrigerators to leak water into the floor is a clogged defrost drain or a cracked LG refrigerator drain pan. When the defrost heater in the freezer melts away the frost on the cooling coil, the water flows down a drain and into a pan underneath the unit. When food or ice clogs the drain, the water backs up and can run out into the floor in large quantities. Clearing the drain with hot water will fix this problem. The leaking issue might be not a serious problem so there is no need to contact a professional maintenance helper. Unfortunately, the same breakdown may indicate future troubles. Don’t risk your LG refrigerator safety and get us a call to appoint a visit at a convenient time. Prevent problems in advance and return high efficiency to your appliance.
