Many customers decide to fix their washers without expensive assistant help. As a matter of fact, they usually regret doing that as a lot of appliances refuse working after DIY. If you have doubts about personal skills, don’t repair your leaking washer. If you keep finding puddles of water on your laundry room floor, you might simply be dealing with old hoses, a leaky pump, or overusing. While these are all problems you'll need to get fixed quickly, none of them will break the bank. The first step to solving this issue is diagnosis, and once you've done that you can begin working to get your laundry machine back to working normally! The best thing to do when a washer is leaking, is to verify the location of the leak before you begin troubleshooting as this will help you to pinpoint the issue. When the washer is leaking at the back, slide the washer out about 12 inches. Be careful to not damage the water hoses). Find the water hoses behind the washer. Find where the water hoses connect to the wall and the back of the washer. Hand tighten both water hoses connected to the water outlets on the wall (Hot and Cold). Hand tighten both water hoses connected to the washing machine (Hot and Cold). When you are still not sure about the origins of the leakage, continue checking the hoses. Using your hand, feel around on the connections for moisture. If you find moisture or a connection leaking check to be sure it is installed correctly and secure. Turn off water, remove water hose, and check the water hose washers in the threading. If water hose washers are damaged, replace all 4 water hose washers with new and reconnect. Don’t do any diagnostic when the washer is not unplugged!
