In this article you will find short instructions for replacing the fan switch for hood GE Monogram ze2160sf03. Before you’ve started you need to prepare: Phillips screwdriver, working gloves and new fan switch (manufacturers approved).
Shut off the house circuit breaker to disconnect electrical power to the range hood. Pull the latch tabs to release the air filters and pull both filters out of the range hood. Remove the screws that secure the bottom panel to the range hood frame and pull the bottom panel out of the range hood. Disconnect the wires from the fan switch. Squeeze the locking tabs together on the fan switch and push the fan switch out of the front of the control panel. Push the new fan switch into the opening in the control panel and snap the new fan switch into place. Reconnect the wires to the new fan switch. Slide the bottom panel into place. Secure the bottom panel with the mounting screws. Reinstall the air filters. Reset the house circuit breaker to restore electrical power to the range hood.
Done, make a few tests. If this doesn't work, there could be a defective part that requires a replacement, and you may need to consult a professional.
