A customer noticed that there was no ice being produced, and there was an idea it was due to the hot weather, so the owner decreased the temperature of the Freezer to no avail. In fact, the situation hadn’t changed. It seemed like the ice was not being produced because the freezer was not cold enough to freeze the ice. It seemed like the freezer temperature was not getting colder, and I've tried a couple of things including resetting (on/off) & power freeze. On further inspection, it seemed like the bottom of the freezer was very cold (as it should be), but the top was significantly warmer - it's also where the Ice maker was located, hence the water was not freezing. From the client research, the fridge side was cooled by air from the freezer side - and the fridge was at the right temperature, no issues at all. But why was the circulation fan in the freezer not working? To have the best and most detailed diagnostic you will have to move your freezer. Disconnect the power cord from the wall receptacle. Remove the food, defrost, and clean the freezer. Use blankets to protect the freezer finish from scratches. When transporting to the maintenance service office, keep the freezer in the upright position. Keep the freezer in the upright position.
