The washing program started as usual, but suddenly your Maytag washer stopped. First of all, you need to visually inspect the appliance. There are many reasons why the washer stacks with the load inside. You need to inspect the washing machine, try to find and fix the problem. If it stops with a full tank of water and laundry, then the water must be drained. If the washer has taken up water and stopped, there may be problems with the inlet valve. When the drain system is clogged, the machine simply will not be able to remove the liquid and start rinsing, so it will stack with a full tank. Manual instructions always contain information how much laundry is allowed to be put into the drum when selecting certain programs. For example, when starting a fast cycle, only half load is allowed. When the washer is equipped with an auto-weighing sensor, the wash will not start at all if being overloaded. Larger items or loads tend to settle on one side of the washer drum during a cycle. Try to redistribute the load or remove a few articles of clothing and run the spin cycle on your washer again. If this doesn’t help, check outside the washer drum for jammed clothing and remove it. The purpose of the drain pump is to pump the water from the wash, through the drain hose, to then be drained away. The drain pump is located at the bottom of your washing machine, but can be easily accessed in order to replace it if need be. If your washing machine is failing to drain during a wash cycle, it could be that there is a problem with the drain pump. There are a couple of things to check first before you start thinking of replacing the drain pump. Blockages can occur within the pump filter, and also with your drain hose, so just check these parts of the appliance to see if either of them could be the cause of the failure in draining. No need to panic, we’ll take you through the process easily and eliminate the issue. We fix - you relax!
