The owners feel confused to see no heat when the wall heater fan is coming on. In fact, the situation is rather common. Surely, the issue indicates a breakdown and requires a quick response. So, you have air moving, but it's not hot? Then the question is why no cold? This could be the result of a faulty heating element or loose wiring connections inside the unit. Cut power to the unit, remove the thermostat knob, control knob and faceplate, then remove the unit from the wall to check all the wiring connections inside. Tighten any disconnected or loose connections. If this doesn’t work, the unit may need a new heating element. If you do feel heat, but the room isn’t warming, turn it up. In very cold temps, they sometimes just can’t keep up and you have to set the thermostat higher than what you really want the room to be. Watch it though because it will eventually reach whatever temp you set it too and you may be a tad too toasty! Keeping the appliance in a good working condition is vital during the cold season. Mind prompt diagnostics and proper treatment and your heater will serve you as long as possible.
