Recently we had an angry call from one customer whose IVR-System was not working. Hence, an appeal for assistance was mute and the problem with a refrigerator was unsolved. At first glance, the refrigerator tray had gathered some water; a lot of drops were on the shelves either. The right door of the fridge was not hermetically closed and that could affect the temperature inside the refrigerator. Some refrigerators are equipped with drain heaters. Drain heaters prevent the water in the drain pan from re-freezing and clogging the defrost drain. If your drain heater is defective or is not in the proper position, the defrost drain might freeze over. As a result of the clogged or frozen defrost drain the water will overflow the drain trough and drip down to the bottom of the compartment. The defrost drain was thawed and cleared of debris. After cleaning the drain line the temperature stabilized and the refrigerator turned back to normal work. The customer was advised to change the gasket and do not overload the doors with products to prevent temperature change.
