Wet clothes are a common issue that concerns plenty of washer owners. Surely, if the cycle has been done but the clothes aren’t still dried, the washer doesn’t drain properly and needs a diagnostic. Your washing machine will most likely alert you about the trouble with an error code. If so, consult with the manual to investigate the meaning of the error. In case there are no warnings on the display, pay attention to the most common cases which disturb normal functioning. Firstly, check the drain for clogging. If you hear the washing machine's pump operating but no water is leaving the machine, it is likely that the rubber drain hose running from the back of the machine to the drain standpipe or wash tub is clogged with cloth fibers. This can sometimes happen after you wash items like rugs, which may shed a lot of fabric fibers, or if the drain hose is pinched. If the hose is clogged, it can prevent the water from being pumped out of the machine. The first step is to clean the trap. Grab a bucket and put it under the trap. Unscrew the seal on the bottom of the tap and drain the water and dirt. What if your trap doesn't have a seal? Unscrew it completely and rinse it under the tap. Next, close the trap or reconnect it to the drain. Sometimes the blockage is located deeper than the trap. To unclog a clogged drain, first fill a bucket with boiling water and a pack of baking soda. Remove the drain pipe from your washing machine and slowly pour the water into the drain using a funnel. Wait a few minutes and test if it keeps draining if you pour water into it. A Gasket might be overused so it isn't able to perform its duty normally. Replace defective gasket with a new one. Be careful doing it yourself not to harm your appliance. It’s better to advert a professional maintenance assistant.
