Error codes displayed by your Whirlpool washer have different explanations. The error message E2 and F5 indicate that the door is not locking properly. The door must be completely closed for the washer to operate. The door may look as if it's closed, but it may not be latched. Open the door and firmly close it. Before you close the washer door, check for laundry items sticking out beyond the door opening. Leave enough space in the washer to allow the clothes to freely tumble. Reduce your load size if needed. To remove the error code press the Pause or Cancel button twice. If it doesn't help to eliminate the code, press the Power button once. When the code doesn’t disappear after implementation of the mentioned steps, it’s time to contact a professional. The lid lock might be defective and need a replacement. However, when the owners try fixing themselves, they often worsen the situation or simply break something else turning a minor trouble into a great disaster. Bear in mind that all washing machine makes and models differ and there are a number of reasons why a washing machine door won’t close, so the above fixes may not be the answer to locking every single washing machine door. Most likely, improper maintenance has led to the issues giving no chance to return to normal efficient functioning. Give us a call and we’ll be glad to help you find replacement parts and arrange any major repairs on your Whirlpool washing machine.
