Modern ovens are equipped with a gas control system. If the temperature sensor does not detect an increase in temperature, it shuts off the gas supply. The sensor does not work instantly, it takes time to fix changes. Hold the switch a little longer than usual (up to 15 seconds). Also, when turning on the range, do not forget to unscrew it to the maximum: this will speed up the heating of the sensor and the ignition of the oven.
